Connect New Relic to surface APM, logs, and infrastructure metrics in Cortex for observability insights.

How to connect

  1. Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Connectors
  2. Click Connect on the New Relic integration
  3. Enter your New Relic User API key
  4. Once configured, observability data becomes available to Cendriix agents

Getting your API key

  1. Go to New Relic → API Keys 
  2. Click Create a key
  3. Select User as the key type
  4. Give it a descriptive name (e.g., “Cendriix Integration”)
  5. Copy the key and paste it in the Cendriix setup wizard

Capabilities

Once connected, Cendriix agents can:

  • Query APM data (response times, error rates, throughput)
  • Access log entries via NerdGraph (New Relic’s GraphQL API)
  • Read infrastructure and host metrics
  • Reference observability data when debugging or optimizing performance

Security notes

  • New Relic User keys grant read access to all account data associated with the key
  • For narrower access, create a key with a restricted role
  • API keys are stored encrypted in AWS Secrets Manager
  • Disconnect at any time from Settings → Integrations → Connectors
